Dr. Daniel Hale Williams - Dr. Williams born in 1856, Dr. Williams began his surgical career in Chicago, Illinois, in the late 1800s. He founded the first Black-owned non-segregated hospital in the United States after racism stopped him from working in already existing hospitals.
